Nicorette® is nicotine gum. It works as an aid to help you quit smoking by reducing nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
For Smokers Over
24 Cigarettes a Day.

If you smoke less
than 25 cigarettes a day: try Nicorette 2mg.
Do not use if
you: Continue to smoke, chew tobacco, use snuff, or use a nicotine patch or
other nicotine containing products.
Indications:
Used to
reduce withdrawal symptoms, including nicotine craving, associated with
quitting smoking.
Directions:
Read enclosed
User's Guide.
If you smoke- under 25
cigarettes a day: Use 2mg. - over 24 cigarettes a day: Use 4mg.
Stop smoking completely when
you begin using Nicorette.
Read the enclosed User's
Guide before using Nicorette. Do not discard
carton or User's Guide. They contain important information.
Use properly as directed in
the User's Guide.
Don't eat or drink for 15
minutes before using Nicorette or while
chewing a piece.
Use according to the
following 12 week schedule:
Week 1 to 6: 1 piece every 1
to 2 hours
Week 7 to 9: 1 piece every 2
to 4 hours
Week 10 to 12: 1 piece every
4 to 8 hours
Do not exceed 20 pieces a
day.
Stop using Nicorette at the end of week 12. If you still feel
the need for Nicorette, talk with your doctor.
Warnings:
Keep this and all drugs out
of reach of children and pets. In case of accidental overdose, seek
professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
Nicotine can increase your
baby's heart rate. If you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the
advice of a health professional before using this product.
Ask your
doctor before use if you:
Are under
18 years of age.
Have heart disease, recent
heart attack, or irregular heartbeat. Nicotine can increase your heart
rate.
Have high blood pressure not
controlled with medication. Nicotine can increase high blood pressure.
-- Have stomach ulcer or take insulin for diabetes.
Take prescription medicine
for depression or asthma. Your prescription dose may need to be
adjusted.
Stop
use and see your doctor if you have:
Mouth, teeth or jaw problems.
Irregular heartbeat,
palpitations.
Symptoms of nicotine overdose
such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness and rapid heartbeat.
